When I was seventeen years old, I started to MAKE A BOOK.  That began a journey that has had some very HIGH POINTS.  It has also had some very LOW POINTS.  On the way, I learned a lot about MYSELF and about INTERESTING OTHER PEOPLE.  I had two PANIC ATTACKS, played 3,482 games of FREE CELL and did SOME THINGS I NEVER THOUGHT I COULD DO.

I also wrote three novels - The Drowning People, Us and The Lighted Rooms, which is called Natural Elements in some parts of the world - and some JOURNALISM.

Now I’m 30, with a healthy respect for PSYCHOTROPIC MEDICATION and significant responsibility for 51 KIDS.  Fortunately I share this responsibility with SEVERAL EXTRAORDINARY INDIVIDUALS.

Here’s what some people who have met me for 45 minutes THINK I’M LIKE.
