The Kay Mason Foundation helps talented people to fulfil their potential, whatever their circumstances. We work with families, educators and the scholars themselves to help disadvantaged kids get the great educations they deserve.
Scholarship applications for 2011 have now closed. If you would like to be considered for a KMF Scholarship for 2012, please email nelly@kaymasonfoundation.org for information and guidelines.
KMF Scholars have a 99% high school pass rate. Many have distinguished themselves academically. Others have represented their schools in sports, debating and a range of other activities.
Lulutho
The word ‘Lulutho’ means ‘Opportunity’ in isiXhosa. It’s a name we’ve given to 38 hectares of land in the Tunga Valley, where we’re working with the Kay Mason Foundation and the Community of Mtwaku to create opportunities for the surrounding rural communities. The project has now been up and running for a year, funded by Richard alone.
