Psychotropic Medication

I come from a family with a long history of bipolar disorder, and spent a lot of my twenties grappling with intense and erratic moods.  Too many people with mood disorders discontinue their medication as soon as it helps them stop feeling suicidal – in other words, exactly when it has shown that it works. 

I am happy to go on taking my nightly tablet of LAMOTRAGINE for the rest of my life – which will almost certainly be longer, and happier, as a result.
